Faneuil Hall Marketplace, Boston, MA

Although this is one of the most popular tourist locations I couldn't help but listing it on my blog. I have traveled to Faneuil Hall on several occasions. They have a great variety of stores both inside and outside. Be sure to check out the bar, "Cheers" based off the television series. The quincy market located next to Faneuil Hall also has a great food selection and superb clam chowder. The setup of Faneuil hall is unlike any other shopping place I have been to. The design of it is very original. It's all set around quaint cobblestone where you can see musicians, performers, or even jugglers. I traveled to Faneuil Hall Marketplace a few weeks ago. In my travels I had the opportunity to watch a man stand on a stick and juggle! It was an unforgettable experience and will always remember how neat it was.

Key West

For those who are feeling adventurous you should surely make your way to Key West in Florida. Here you can find the best key lime pies around and experience the beautiful atmosphere Key West has to offer. It has a laid back and tropical feel that instantly puts you at ease. There are many places to eat and cute stores to shop in. It is a great place to travel with friends as well as with families. Although it is in Florida, when you are there it feels like you are on a tropical island. In Key West you cant rent motor scooters to get around as well as a car or my favorite, walking. Key West is famous for its beautiful sunsets and for their daily happy hours. Also be sure to check out the Key West aquarium while you are there! The breathtaking views of Key West will make you want to stay there and never leave. These pictures are all ones that I took while traveling to Key West. Although these pictures are unreal, they don't nearly capture the true beauty of Key West.

Deerfield Beach, Florida

Place of the Week: Deerfield Beach, Florida

It is time to get out of this cold weather and book some plane tickets to travel to Deerfield Beach, Florida. Deerfield was established in 1877 and has been an emerging town ever since. It has been expanding tremendously and throughout the years becoming more known to many travelers. Deerfield Beach is definitely a beach town. Its main focus is its beautiful beach and the cleanliness of them. Deerfield Beach is known to be one of the cleanest beaches in all of Florida. The town has a strip of beach that goes all the way down for a few miles. Next to the beach it is surrounded by condos, hotels, restaurants, shops and bars. Everything you need is in walking distance which makes it easy to grab a bite of lunch without having to venture away from the beach. College students traveling to Deerfield Beach would enjoy the luxury of having the option of staying at a calm beach or walking a little further down to party central. It is up to the individual’s mood where they would like to be for the day. Deerfield Beach provides a fun, safe and entertaining experience for all students.

Karma at the Jersey Shore

Place of the week: Karma in Seaside Heights, NJ

For those of you familiar with the popular, "Jersey Shore"television show, you should make your way down to Seaside Heights to experience it yourself. Living in New Jersey for all my life I have had the experience to travel to the jersey shore on several occasions. My most meaningful experience with the shore was when I had opportunity to work as a shot girl at Club Karma. The scene at Karma is ridiculous. You can see the Jersey Shore cast roaming around causing chaos. The best time to travel to Club Karma is anytime after Memorial Day Weekend or before Labor Day weekend. The club is always popping, especially on Saturday nights. Although the show does a great job depicting the scene, experiencing it in real life is out of this world. Hope you all have a chance to make your way down to Club Karma in Seaside Heights this summer and maybe I will see you there !

Bobby G's

Place of the Week: Bobby G's

Bobby G's is a very small bar located in Wakefield, Rhode Island at 23 Kingstown Road. It is known for being a great college scene, their famous tidal waves and Karaoke Wednesday's. Although this bar is not huge it holds a capacity of 138 people. If you go, you are guaranteed a great time, some laughs and possibly owning the bar by singing a song of choice. The drinks are inexpensive and there is also a pool table if you are into that sort of thing. In my experience, it is always a great time and you should really go to check it out yourself.

Mystic Aquarium

To start off this blog, I am going to update weekly with tips on places to visit. This week I chose a local place to start off with that others may be familiar with as well.

Place of the Week:

A great place to travel to is the Mystic Aquarium. It is located in Mystic, CT. (35 minutes away from URI) I decided to make a trip to the aquarium with a few friends yesterday. We went to the aquarium not knowing what to expect since it was our first time attending this particular one. To our surprise, we ended up having an amazing time and time flew by so quickly. During our visit we were able to explore the various animals that reside in the Aquarium and learn many new facts about the way they live. We had the opportunity to learn about the different types of Jelly Fish, touch a baby shark and observe a show on Sea Lions. During the show I was surprised to experience how intelligent these creatures are and the many tricks they know how to do. The Sea Lion's listen to commands and with a small fish as a bribe they will do anything to you ask them to do. We were also able to observe the penguins and see how they splash around. To experience all that the Aquarium has to offer, one has to visit themselves to grasp the true beauty of these creatures.
